Located in an idyllic terroir, the vineyard's soil is exceptional. A layer of Quaternary gravel ensures excellent drainage and imparts unique mineral nuances to the wines. Beneath the gravel, a predominant Tertiary clay sub-soil adds depth and complexity to the vines. At the peak of the gravel, a delicate layer of lacustrine clay further enriches the vineyard's diversity, resulting in wines of unmatched character.
The carefully cultivated grape varieties showcase winemaking artistry: 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. These meticulously tended vines, averaging 22 years old, yield fruit of exceptional quality.
Dedicated to preserving the essence of the terroir, the estate follows a traditional yet meticulous winemaking approach. Double Guyot training ensures vine health and optimal yields. During harvest, grapes are delicately handpicked and sorted, with only the finest ones used for vinification. Vinification takes place in state-of-the-art stainless-steel tanks, allowing precise fermentation control. Maceration lasts 18 to 21 days, extracting rich flavors and tannins defining the wine's personality. The ageing process spans 18 to 20 months, with 30% new oak barrels contributing structure and subtle oak influence, enhancing overall complexity.
To achieve impeccable finesse, the wine undergoes traditional fining with egg whites. This dedication culminates in an annual production of around 80,000 bottles, each a testament to Château Saint-Estèphe's unwavering commitment to crafting exceptional wines.

Saint Estephe
It’s part of Bordeaux's left bank Médoc region, is famed for its exceptional red wines. The region enjoys a temperate maritime climate, with the nearby ocean moderating summer temperatures and mild winters. This climate is ideal for grape growth and flavor development. Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in Saint Estephe's terroir, producing deep-colored, rich wines with matured red fruit flavors and smooth tannins. Merlot and Petit Verdot add complexity and balance. Traditional grape-growing practices include careful planting of low-lying bush vines to manage growth and sun exposure, enhancing grape quality. Winemaking in Saint Estephe combines tradition and innovation. High-quality grapes are hand-picked, gently pressed, and fermented at controlled temperatures to preserve natural flavors and terroir. Oak aging enriches flavors and adds complexity. In conclusion, Saint Estephe's renowned red wines owe their excellence to the region's temperate climate, Cabernet Sauvignon dominance, traditional vineyard practices, and a balanced winemaking approach.
